Hello Maserati Fellows,

I‘m Nic from Germany and I‘m currently searching for a GranTurismo S (facelift).

I got several ones offered here in Germany but these ones are coming from the US. I can‘t find information if there were specific US versions, that are different to the original european ones.
I‘m mainly thinking about Mufflers, Head-/Backlights, Interior, Engine Setup.

Can anyone help me out?

Best
Nic

The model designations were very different, most US cars are automatic, EU we’re MC Shift.

Exhaust, lights and interior are the same. The engine ECU will be different due to the regulations but the outputs are the same.

Thank you Zep!

I don‘t know the originally share (ZF vs. MC) but on the current market it is ca. 70:30. means more ZF.

Do you know why there is a different ECU or what is the difference? Because, as you say, the power is the same. Not like less Power for e.g. BMW M models.

The difference is in how and why the CEL operates. It doesn’t appear to impact the mapping.

The US spec cars will have those ugly indicators on them so require bumpers painting usually don’t they?

Both cars I checked don‘t have them. Don‘t know yet, if there was a paintjob done.

They also have both only Km, not miles. Everything else also looks like european versions. That‘s why I‘m asking if there are really differences (like e.g. on the 4200)
