You could also offer the steering wheel / wheels to other members swap plus cash for them

They won't really add value to the car, but could be a good amount of cash on top of the sale price

Mine will be a £25k car soon then as it nears 60k miles. Oh well, it's a good job I'm enjoying it and using it as residuals are too much to worry about. Who would have thought that a GTS MC Shift would fall lower than a standard 4.2 then eh?

Tend to agree with Phil.
I think hewbies is v attractively priced if around 32/33 personally considering the extras he has put on.
As Ewan said before ‘harsh crowd’ applies.

Thats my take really, if you have one, may as well use it and enjoy it as keeping it locked up and hoping to not lose to much isn't going to work i think..

And you are right - there are presently 20 4.2's for sale above £30k, i think that will drop by spring !

It amazes me how people knock the prices of a brand we all love and openly advertise it on the forum. I know how hard the private market is (I've sold 5 tridents in the last 3 years) but to say that this car is worth £30k is for me a tad harsh. I also cannot abide people comments on prices on a for sale thread too as it's just not cricket. I'm all for honesty in terms of advising about how to improve the advert etc but saying it is worth x amount isn't good form.

If you look at standard 4.2's at £30k, there aren't many sub that bracket (10 on PH) then any GTS is worth a premium and is reflected by that as the cheapest 4.7 MCS on PH is £34950.

TBH I cannot believe Hewbies car has not sold... it's awesome and the price offered to the forum was great.
It's also a shame that at that price it's not Lhd , if it was I would have it.
Stick with it, there is a buyer out there

32k is actually OK for a hasslefree transaction... Not sure I would go through the, slew of deadbeats and having the car washed, for every visit.... Without mentionning having to explain to the wife why there are 2cars in the garage. All this to take an extra 1-2k in... Not pretending it isnt nothing either, but having the thoughts/worry abt selling my 2nd car would spoil my first few moments w the mclaren until the GT is gone.
Again, not meaning that 2k is nothing as i am not in your financial shoes

On second thoughts, you could also decide to keep the GT, as it the perfect family car with its 4seats... Surely the wife will understand!!

Yes, that's not too bad for a p/x price. I was offered £28.5 for mine last year which is why I was 'happy' to accept £31 in the end.
But fingers crossed for a private sale

Surely those issues would be covered under a warranty in a Maclaren? A 599 is literally chalk and cheese from a Maclaren- it seems like
You are just as confused as me
About where to move to next!

I had my third test drive in a 570s today and second in a vanquish and vantage V12S.
458 on Saturday. I am avoiding taking the Huracan out.

The 599 would get my vote. Depreciation should be minimal if maintenance is kept up to date and its a monster of a car... Enzo engine effectively. It could be a wise long term investment. I hesitated between the 599 and the F430 for a while, until I opted for the mid engine option as a first Ferrari.
Macs stories are pretty, bad indeed. It put me off myself!

The McLarens have no soul. Doesn’t matter how good they are, give me a machine built with passion any day of week.
