Welcome to the forum.

Post a photo of the car please as we always like to see them even if they are across the pond.

Warm welcome cousin! ;)
So, when you say south eastern. Are we talking below the Mason-Dixon line?
I see things are fairly quiet weather-wise in your neck of the woods just now.
(touch wood) And long may it continue! :)

Hey, all...thanks for the warm welcome! Sorry for my learning curve on the forum. I keep an Olivetti Studio 44 on my desk and have a Blackberry knockoff with a keyboard, just because that's the kind of Luddite I generally am. Which is another reason why I have fallen hard for the Maserati...no TPMS, no system jerking my steering wheel or randomly applying the brakes...just a good, old analog (with analog clock) driving experience!

I am indeed below the Mason-Dixon line, a little bit north of South Carolina, as the song goes. But am originally from the northeastern US. Waiting on rain at the moment, but not quite worried about hurricanes. Yet.

Thanks, Alan! I am enjoying this car more than any I have owned...and I've had other (non-Ferrari/non-Maserati) Italians; the Germans; and American muscle dating back to my teens. I am trying to drive it daily, but have only had it hand for less than a month. Still feeling out the edges/limits, especially in regards to cornering...and fighting temptation to wind it all the way out in each and every gear. Do have to say that 6th gear is a whole other country...was totally unexpected. No overdrive, no problem!

Thrilled.
You're obviously loving it already.
These cars really are great to drive aren't they?
What do you think of the suspension? They way it rides the mounds in the road? The way it exits roundabouts?
Oh. One thing. Take care in the rain. We get to experience quite a lot of it in Southern England. It needs taking care of if you want to avoid a surprise attitude adjustment.

Hey, Alan...absolutely loving it. Tons of fun...and yes, the slightly squirrely suspension and the way my CDs skip on smooth pavement have been duly noted. Have wondered what others have done/modified to make the car a bit stickier...open to any/all suggestions, including the best shoes...

Thanks!
Dennis

Dennis, I expect you'll soon hear all about the car's shoes from people here who ae far more knowledgeable/experienced than me.
But do keep the stability control turned on.

There are some big-brake kits available for the Coupe range. AP do a set as do Formula Dynamics in the states

Thanks, Alan & @safrane...looking at those from FD. Curious about opinions on sway bars, shocks, tyres/tires, etc. as well...

Appreciate each and every one of you...this forum is definitely a wealth of experience and expertise.

Dennis, we're all on a learning curve. If we're not, I don't think we're alive.
I have family and good friends, both north and south. Both cultures never fail to charm me.
I plan to sail the Eastern Seaboard in a few years and coincidently, if you're ever touring Ireland,
let me know in advance and I'll show you places local to me that tourists rarely see and can recommend
where to go, right across the island. I'm on the North Coast of Northern Ireland for now.
Probably most of us here, would prefer analog, at least some of the time. I know that I would. And it's not about nostalgia either.
And your doggie looks gorgeous by the way! I'm a sucker for bigger breeds, like long haired German Shepherds etc etc.
Please do keep contributing. Hopefully, you'll encourage many more of our 'cousins' to join and be active! ;)

Lovely car...same as mine - black GT ....enjoy :)
That’s a lovely Alfasud 1.5 Ti, how is it running? Great memories as I had the exact same as my first car many moons ago, I think it was a 1980 model. Torque steering deluxe I recall, which once sent me into our wood stack
