Grey bag in boot - 3200 GT

Afternoon All,

Can anyone tell me what supposed to be in the grey Maserati bag in the left hand corner of the 3200 boot?
It sits at the top of the wheel arch tucked into a corner.

Seems like something cylindrical is supposed to fit in there but it's empty at the moment.
