Hi all, first post here so be gentle please :)

I'm slowly starting to look for a GT to replace my current car. I've been trying to locate a brochure from 2009 for UK market but so far can't find it.
From my research so far I'm pretty much decided on 4.7 Automatic so will be looking at 2009-2010 in my budget.

But I really can't tell, other than colour and interior leather/finish are the differences between cars... I mean the only options I've managed to identify are
- comfort pack (heated/memory seat?)
- MC pack - some visual addons externally?

What else was an option that I should be aware of?

Welcome along & good luck in your search.

A good option to for in my opinion are the front parking sensors, it is a very long nose that can be tricky to judge. Also, the uprated Bose sound system makes the audio system more acceptable than the standard.

I'm sure that others will be along with some more soon, enjoy your searching

from what I have seen so far all the 4.7's had front parking sensors and Bose so I thought these were standard spec?

My 4.7 does not have Bose, but sounds just fine to me as I never turn it on as I am listening to sport mode exhaust

Definitely options. The Bose is ok. I have it but don't expect B&W or HK levels of sound. If you're an audiophile prepare to be underwhelmed. As c4sman says, that's what the exhaust's for.

The front parking sensors are far more important, in my opinion. These cars are vast and you can't see the front from the inside* so you'll need all the help you can get.

* not because it's beyond the horizon - they're not quite that big. The QP6, on the other hand...

Welcome, by the way.

Cheers guys, I am quite excited about this, got one big thing to complete around the house and after that I am focusing on the search.
Currently drive fully loaded Audi s4 with supercharged V6 so so I am really looking forward to test drive maser for the first time and hope it not going to be slower than my current car.

I think what would really help is 2009 uk market brochure... Does anyone have a copy?

I have most but hard copies......It's the spec brochure you need. I will put in a thread this weekend my friend and see if that helps your decision.........I think you will find the MAserati totally different to your S4......It's more of a GT car so will feel heavy and the 4.2 probably slower but the 4.7 quicker.....It's a bloody big car and rather heavy....BUt a great place to be sat in and stunning to look at and as soon as you hear that noise I am sure you will be hooked.......It has passion where as the Audi is rather clinical init's delivery.

4.7 also have front sensors as an option. When I was looking for mine there were some that didn't have them. As for the MC pack these are mostly carbon options, but there is also the handling pack - which changes suspension and weight distribution of the car.

Also the auto dimming mirror, tyre sensors, comfort pack and Bose upgrade.

Tyre sensors are not necessarily a good thing on an older car, imo. Just something else to go wrong and an MOT failure if they're not working.

Comfort seats are worth having - seats are actually the same but these are electronic and heated.

Interior trim options include carbons bits and bobs, piano black vs brushed aluminium trim and Alcantara seat inserts and headlining.

Welcome.

If it helps the B8 S/C S4 is about the same as the 4.2 for performance terms but obviously the latter drives more like the n/a B6/B7 S4. Had one three of the latter over the years - great cars.
