Some. Not subject to recall, and a bit cagey giving details otherwise. I'll assume not modified.

She's on 28k miles and no idea yet on how many I'll clock so may well take extended warranty

At 28k miles it would be wise to take the extended warranty but be careful, check the warranty covers the Variators. I do not think all do
I have heard of variator problems around 30k miles - unsubstantiated though
