GT Key Fob Problems

Hi All,

I've got a problem with one of my key fobs. The key blade does not spring upwards when I press the button, so the key blade is stuck within the casing. I can't press the button all the way down so sounds like the spring mechanism could be broken. Anyone else had this problem - Any advice on how to repair it or is it one for an indie/dealer.

Hi chunks. Have you tried taking the fob apart as if to replace the battery? That might at least help get it free from whatever's jamming it.

Here's how to open the casing. This owner was fixing the spring mechanism too. However, please note the temperature is in US Fahrenheit, not Celsius!

one of mine is doing that, I've not taken it apart yet, hopefully we can get some new casings when the china factory decide to make some more. I think the spring breaks but can't be sure until the autopsy is carried out.
