GT larger paddles

I've mentioned it on here a couple of times but I really do have paddle envy. Mine are tiny compared to the larger variant. I know that FD offer a carbon fibre alternative but I dont fancy them and would love an OEM set. Were they an option that my car's previous owner didn't tick, just like he didn't pay out for the BOSE option :frustrating: ? I assume that if I were to ever source a set they would simply bolt on.

I cant recall anyone that has done it already. If the FD ones are a bigger size then they should just bolt on to your fittings. If you want to confirm 100% then ask a main dealer if they can retro fit the bigger paddles and for a price. They should tell you if it is possible and the price of the oem part. Labour is probably around 1.5 hrs as they will need to let the airbag discharge and the steering wheel needs to come off.

Assuming the main dealer confirms it could be done you could then source a second hand part and either fit yourself or ask an indy to fit them for you.

How large are the standard paddles compared to larger ones then? I don't know which I have but they seem plenty big enough for me

The former are the standard paddle on the 4.2 and 4.7 auto and the latter are the standard paddle on the 4.7 MC.

Thanks for clearing it up....I dread to think how much an MD will want for a set but will ask anyway.

Excellent..Im off to Emblem on Saturday for their clinic so will ask them how much to source and fit a set. Whilst they have the airbag out and attaching them they can sort out my steering wheel squeek as well. Two birds and all that.
