This is a series of 'how to guides' for the complete removal of the rear interior trim:

THE PANELS MUST BE REMOVED IN THIS ORDER:

TOOLS REQUIRED

01.jpg

  • 13mm Socket
  • 4 & 6mm Hex Bits
  • Cross Head Screwdriver
  • Trim Panel Stud Release Tool
  • Flat Head Screwdriver
  • Palet Knife

REAR SEAT REMOVAL

Start by removing the cover panel behind the armrest. It has 4 press fixings, 1 in each corner. You will more that likely break them so best to order some in advance: PN-980139518 £3.49 each.

Next remove the arm rest. This is held in by 2 pins that the armrest pivots on. They are sprung loaded so simple use your fingers to manipulate them.

The rear seat back is only held in by 3x13mm socket fixings indicated:

Now the seat back can be pulled forward and removed from the car, be carful not to scratch the car bodywork as the seat back is mounted on a sharp metal frame.

SEAT BASE REMOVAL

Look under the seat pad and locate the 2x13mm sockets and remove them.

Now pull the seat base toward the front of the car to free the fixings then pull the back up and remove from the car.

Your car should now look something like this.

Well, if I had to, it would only be Maserati!

The interior came out extremely easy, I recon if I did it again, I could strip all the lot out in an hour, 2 max.

Nikos, prior to the detailing, I had a few very minor door dings from inconsiderate parkers. I had to remove the panels so the paintless dent man could access the rear of the panel.

That's a great series of "how-to's" Matt. Thanks for taking the time to document the work.
