GTV 3.0 V6 opinions

I just realized that the GTV V6 3.0 and the 2.0 turbo can be bought for next to nothing in Germany and Belgium
Can anyone give their opinions on how the car drives and handles?

Would love to add a NA V6 to the stable that can be driven all year but the 2L turbo also sounds like a good proposition (on paper anyway)

I have, (had,) two. One's just been bumped. Both 3.0 V6s. They drive well, slightly nose heavy, and low at the front, speed bumps can be an issue. For a front wheel dive car they handle really well. I had the spider round the track and it surprised both me and the Instructor.

Busso V6 takes some beatiing, personally I love the 12V 3.0 and the 24V 3.2 not that the 24V 3.0 is bad I just find it needs revs to get the most out of it which is never an issue when you hear the noise it makes

3 V6 is just a gem of an engine...Had two and loved both....Not driven the turbo so cannot comment on it..

How about NA vs Turbo engines?
There is one for sale i quite like but its the turbo version

I know the exhaust note will be affected ...

The 3.0 V6 will give you a endless smile, I only have the 2.5 version in the 156, cannot bring myself to part with it :)

If I decide to have a look at a few models for sale are there any common issues I should look for?
I see lots of them for sale with 180.000km+ on the clock so I'm assuming that at least the engine is bullet proof

Timing belt and water pump. Rear suspension pans. Clutch will get really heavy prior to slipping if it needs changed, can take out the dual mass flywheel but a solid upgrade is available.

We never had the turbo model over here in the UK just the V6 in various forms

Sometimes the drive chain to the oil pump breaks on the 3 litre's apart from that...A few cel lights and stuff, as the Can Bus system is very similar to the Maser 3200GT's!

Remember the review of the turbo and from what I can remember if was a decent review. Would have thought it was light than the 3l which was always a bit heavy up front....The 2 litre was always better balanced than the 3l..

Will try to drive a few NA and turbo to compare.
The problem is that they are far in between so it might take time ...

When we move to a bigger place and we have more room for cars I'm getting one!
Although sadly prices are on the rise for good 3.0 V6's.

Oh the noise.........

V6 for me too! I love mine so much I just can't part with it even though it will need a lot of TLC over the winter and I have too many cars (apparently?)!
