I swore by and used Mer for years on a previous black vintage car, a capful in the subsequent washes worked well too, But I have to say its a bit cloggy when you polish off after applying.
When I got the Mazzer my friend who has a successful Valeting business asked if he could give her the once over, 6 hrs later the results were stunning. He uses Meguiars gold glass. The last time I cleaned the car he have me some to apply and buff off with micro fibre. Gives a deep shine with no streaks or residue on window rubbers.

Good thread, this. I'm quite looking forward to finishing my Autoglym HD so I can try something new.

Dodowotsit purple haze, Harley's, something p!ss-taking,y expensive from Swissvax... Too much choice!

I also use R222 wax from time to time - another good one, easy to apply/buff off and leaves no residue!
