That is very flash! Although... while I'm a techno lover... I also like the refined, tactile and crafted interior that comes from wood, leather, etc... too many screens can be a bit much!

The little oled displays embedded in the switchgear adds some subtle modernism.

I'll order a retro-fit kit please. With two rolls of electrical tape and some tie-wraps.

Come on mate, a soldering iron and some heat shrink wrap is the only way, you don't get Scotchloks on aeroplane wiring!

or how about those fuse piggy back thingies?

The best electrical car botch I have ever seen was a Japanese (RHD) import shed converted to LHD in use in Bolivia as a taxi. The whole dash was swapped over to LHD with the entire loom extended in the same color (green, I remember 15 years ago) cable. A sea of purest green!

Thread swerve, long day, sorry!

Soldered joints can crack, but yes, you're correct that you don't get scotchloks on planes. OTOH, my car is unlikely to fall out of the sky if the remote controlled boot release stops working :)

Similarly if my single piggy back fuse fails, my exhaust valves will be stuck open. Oh dear. How sad ;)
