If you watch 'Harry's Farm' even with the subsidies it doesn't appear to be a big money earner. Certainly not this year.

I have been watching this series. Very interesting i like all of the upgrades he has done to the engine
Money well spent, he got the car for a bargain with a view to restore it. In a previous episode he mentioned that he still has plenty of budget left over so i would call it a successful project
Not sure if I would have gone with such a mild tint on the roof glass... If he wants to use it for touring it might be a little intense with the sun... But i suppose it is easier to put a tint film on it than using tinted glass and then desiring that clear glass look

Love the video and craftsmanship demonstrated but I thought £36k for an engine that was essentially running and didn't need say a crankshaft replacement was very expensive. I'm not an expert though.
Also I thought that he bought the car originally from him not that long ago and therefore even if this amount was the "market price" would be surprised if he actually paid for it.

Yes it was basically a light rebuild, it wasn't a failed engine.
I know the new pistons (and rods?) from America will have been very expensive, even so...
