Hi guys,

Heard over on PH that production may have now stopped? Anyone have any ideas?

Also does anyone know when production of the new 4 seater starts?

Deciding on the Stradale at the moment. Not sure whether to move on now or hold for another couple of years.....

Any ideas appreciated.

Two weeks ago I saw the assembly line in Modena working in perfect order. Output is approx. 13 GT per day (1 shift, 8 hrs.).
Hope that helps...

I would say not for a while yet..Was at the factory on Monday and the chap said that there is still a 4 to 6 month waiting list. The car is at the beginning of the end of it's life but they still have a full order book and as above producing 13 cars a day. The line may be used for the Alfieri if it goes into production and thats a few years off. The factory is too small to be used for the new Kubang.

Is the GranTurismo going to continue in existence as a model or when production does eventually stop is that the end of it ?

There will be a replacement but no one really knows what that will look like. There was talk of it being a more hardcare car as per Stradale...and getting more expensive.

I think sales have slowed in the UK but the US and China are still snapping them up....Biggest markets are the US and China/far East....In Europe it used to be UK and GErmany but now Italy have overtaken us with the introduction of the diesel Ghibli and QP...The home market have really taken these to heart.

Saloons are basically diesel in Europe now. I respect Jag and Merc for making their top end coupes and convertibles petrol only but when was the last time you saw a 640i/650i? 95% of them are 640d which means engine that petrolheads are on the wane.

Yep, spot on BB...I also believe that the 640 petrol is a 3 litre these days as well......where as my 645 is a 4.4...Things are a changing.
