Black on Black - the wheels are lost, if they were painted steel wheels you wouldn't know the differeance unless close up, really needs some contrast, Silver, Gunmetal, etc.

Red car with black wheels not so bad, but still can't see the detail of the wheel design.

I am biased though, feel the black wheels look will be a passing fad.

It seems like the jury of our peers is voting against black wheels.

I'm in the process of buying a car with black wheels. They won't be staying that colour. Not because of peer pressure, I just don't like them. Beautiful wheel design totally lost because you can't see them.

Love those wheels on your new car in black. White is another colour that it works well.

Oh, I dunno, Andy. They look a load better in gunmetal. The lightweight wheels are such a good design and it all just disappears under a coat of glossy black paint.

Don't go too light though Adam. Gun metal is good. The colour they put on the Manual S with the graphite pack is too light for me and needs to be a little darker. Thought the S was more a matt black....?

Wheels should stand out so a contrast to body colour is good, always prefer shades of grey to black wheels they give the contrast but still stand out.

Think it all depends on the wheel design as well....Some look lost in black....Mr C I do like yours in black...and agree Stradale wheels look brilliant in black.

Good choice!........I know they are a franchise but I have always used The Wheel Specialist in Ellesmere Port. I have always been pleased with the result and if I ever had issues they sorted it out FOC

Car back from The Wheel Specialist in Liverpool .

Dropped Car off at 8:30 and all wheels stripped, powder coated, painted and baked by 5:30pm .

I hope the baking time was sufficient , but the guys assured by it would be . They
Are confident enough to offer a no questions asked 12 month warranty .

Looks great James, they do a great job in 8 hours don’t they? It’s a very involved job getting wheels done to that sort of standard in such a short time.

Very nice. I use TWS as well but in St Albans near me. Great job.

Like most I'm no a fan of black wheels as you lose all the detail and contrast. Just had the Alfa GT's done in satin gunmetal I think it was so mid grey.

The QP I kept silver on blue. The same with the XC90 silver on blue. The 4200 were silver GS 19's but had the done in Grigio Mercury.

The XJ was black with satin gunmetal & that looked fab.
