Was that the extent of the damage?A cat-C seems excessive unless there was mechanical damage involved as well. Good repair as they are difficult curves to recover..
Just a big ish dent thats it pass the mot fine drives fine and pass the vic test :)

Hi Lee, Welcome to the Forum and good luck with the car. I am not sure how well you will manage on a tight budget as parts can be pricey even so. I have a done most of the work myself on my car and it has still been an expensive journey. You will need to read the error codes to work out why the engine light is coming on. Does your car have an ODBII socket or is it the order style?

Did i miss something or was there really a near two year gap between posts ? Hope you have been enjoying your 3200 in the meantime lee.
Kudos for keeping another trident on the road.

i think if you search the threads some one has worked out how to talk to the old 3 pin set up, i see mto remember its a fiat set up, i also think in the older cars you have to interrogate each system separately, the newer ones are CAN bus and you get through to the suspension, gearbox, and engine ECUs on one link. So depending on what problem you have you may need several electronic set ups.

what you need is the unidiag software + a coverter cable. There is a detailed thread on here. I also have an early 3200 (No 1558)and working diagnostic kit. I am currently doing Mon-Weds at a clients office just outside exeter nr the racecourse, so could come over one eveing and plug it in for you if you want? off on hols next fri 17th for 2 weeks so either this week or August.

You can get access to the ABS module if you download the UniDiag ABS software and put a wire link between two pins on the Vagcom OBD connector. The ABS diagnostic port is near the ABS module on the inner wing.
