Help - 3200 front undertray appears to be stuck

I am trying to replace the front lights next to the fog lights, and I read somewhere that they can only be accessed by taking off the undertray.

I thought I was nearly there, but the undertray appears to be stuck on the level of the air deflectors on both sides. Am I doing something wrong? I have all the bolts removed but the darn thing won't move at all. Am I missing something?

It looks like the air deflectors for the brakes are holding it back but I don't know how to undo them?

I think it sort of slots on if I remember correctly. It needs to pull backwards, I think. It's been a while since I removed mine.

Solved....

I used the old trick by just using some more force (I should remember to not treat her like a lady...). The cracks in the undertray were holding it firmly in place (see pic). A couple of firm pulls finally released it.

Really nice paint of your car!
What kind of headlamps do you have? They look different than any lamps I've seen.

Thanks! Paint is nero carbonio and the headlights are fully standard except for a conversion to hid (xenon). Today I replaced the side lights for led, see below. now they match the colour of the xenon headlights.

Pretty nice looking. Did the changeover throw any Lights on the dash?

Those are the AC specific brake ducts, as far as I know.

I found mine less than co-operative too, putting the undertray back in in particular was a faff.

I had to loosen off the bolts to the plastic hose end, did make it easier etc

You're never sure how much welly you can give plastic like this :)

Your car looks stunning.

Tks for the photos, my under tray is cracked. Did it whilst going out of the drive as there is a water gulley so scraped underneath while going across. Now I know I can replace this myself :)

Thanks for the picture!
Yes, these under-trays are probably the first thing that has ground contact. Also with mine the 2 brackets that hold the cooler-cluster worked their way through the plastic and prevented the part from easy dismantling from the car.

Mine is cracked just like yours is and the metal bar that holds the radiators in place was bent/broken beyond repair.
This seems to be common with the 3200 as they are very low.
Mine being an AC is even worse

Once you get the tray off the car would it be possible to use that as a pattern to fashion an aluminium one?

I was thinking in doing one out of fiber, but I guess aluminum would also work.
The main challenge would be the air inlet and duct for the brake cooling.
Mine is still off the car so I can take pictures (although a big chunk of plastic is gone)

Surely CF to match the AC brake ducts. I'm sure any pedestrian you mow down would appreciate it ;)
