Aye, Peter,
That's what I was thinking - Halfrauds (or equiv motor factors) will be loving me again, guess that will be a trolley jack and some stands,
Unlike the wife who squints every time I mention " needing " something for the car.

Oh well.

Dave

Don't bother with Halfrauds, I got a proper good trolley Jack and 6 ton axle stands from Machine Mart (I think) for the same price as the flimsy stuff from Halfrauds.

Dave, all the new indoor covers from Maserati have GranSport on them now. I got one from Gray Paul a while back after I was told it was for a 4200. It is the only one & part code they list now. I sent it back as I didn't want a GS one.

Got lucky & found a brand new one on EBay old stock with old part number. Says Maserati across back/boot with badge/logo across front/windsreen.

Yeah I saw yr post, I will live with it, it's more about protecting the car with something better than sheets!,

Agreed, sheets don't quite cut the mustard when you find a gazebo leaning against your pride & joy. The thick skinned Maser indoor cover earned its money that day a few weeks ago! Words have been had with the offender. It won't happen again!!

I would have kept the GS one myself if I hadn't stumbled across the other one. A decent cover is much better than the sheets without doubt.

Following your nudge on the I.D. thread...

Definitely screen wash leaking from the headlight pop-up: there is a single connection over the oil tank on the off side just a plastic press down gland connection. The pipe is routed to the off side pop-up then across the bumper to the near side pop-up. These will dribble away a whole screen wash tank in no time if they have a trapped hair or other blockage and because they are down in the bumper you cannot see if they are leaky. you are best off turning your lights on, washing the screen and getting a brave soul to grab it whilst it is raised. it will be easy to secure it in an up position then dry it and see if it is weeping... They are a common part to Alfas and others so shouldn't be difficult to get a replacement it is just a pain as the headlight needs to come out to aid replacement of a washer unit.

Re the electrical plug, it looks to me to be a side light or fog light connector, presumably yours is spec'd to have these so do you have one not working?

I would say the plug is a spare connector for a headlamp. All cars are wired for xenon and std headlights. I have a plug left behind the headlamp on mine too. Nothing to worry about in my opinion...
