Help

After recent spirited driving session, noticed airbag light, CEL and error on main display. Once I was home noticed in addition;

rear indicators not working (hazards + interior indicators okay)
rear lights not working
electric seats not working
front sidelights not working

Everything else still working, car drives okay.
brake lights okay
hazard lights okay

Suspect major electrical issues, maybe connector loose or disconnected.
Started looking in boot area around battery / fuse and relay panel, nothing looks odd. Removed battery fully charged overnight and re-fitted. Same symptoms.
Know I will need to go to specialist for airbag light reset, and codes read for CEL and error lamp.

Any pointers where else to look, to get lights and indicators working. Could it be several fuses?

Might be near it

page 110 of the "online service manual"
I.G.E. control unit (14) protected by 15A fuse (16) and 5A fuse (item 2)

Where is the I.G.E control unit and fuse?

But for a reset....aren't supposed to leave off for an extended period, then when staring up again....you must NOT touch accelerator pedal until car re-calibrates everything,......sitting idle for 30 mins or some such! Am sure theres a fix/post on this somewheres!

Car was "off" overnight while I charged the battery. I will do the throttle reset process again once I fix the lights, will need to look it up again. Might even print it and leave a copy in the glove box.

Amazed to find that replacing fuse 16 fixed all my faults!
Diagram 3200gth-110 above is spot on, with multiple items controlled by fuse 16, related to I.G.E. control unit. Might open a nice bottle tonight to celebrate the money I saved NOT going to garage. Felt sure the airbag light would need reset via external diagnostic unit. Thanks to whoever posted the 3200 service manual.

Help Please! just got the same problem - airbag light flashed going around a roundabout, I was only 500yds from home, the light did not come on fully, more of a glow and just flashed. 20min later time to put car away - No indicators, heated screen, power windows - light on full, 'error' on central display. Not sure how to do the battery reset

Start a check of relays/fuses as per diagrams...whittle it down then if it doesn't help.

there should be a thread i posted some time ago about fuse 16. The problem is that it is in parrallel with a number of other fuses, and so it blows when the other fuses are not connected or have blown.

If you check the user manual you will note that the same functions appear under more than one fuse. It is generally the fuses under the passenger footwell that are to blame, and i would recommend replacing any and all fuses you may suspect. The plastic moulding around the fuse frame is too big and the fuses dont seat as well as they should and so with time and vibraiton the contact become flakey and replacing them helps

Hope this helps

Thanks
Never had a chance to look on Sunday as it rained all day - electric windows worked later in the day as did the seats, but no indicators, hazards are fine

Just chuckling to myself how in this day and age we have become paranoid regarding dash lights , when i first started driving it was considered top of the range if it had speedo , by the time i was 10 and the likes of the humber sceptres came out with there spitfire cockpit type dashes , top of the range then was an ammeter oil pressure and rev counter gauges heheheh, Roll on 40 years Massers with there xmas tree effect dashes are taking away worry free pleasurable driving , as long as its got oil and water and air in the tyres enjoy ehheheh

Fuse 16 was the culprit! - what a nause to replace, the most inaccessible fuse box on the planet - stuck a couple of spares in the holders just incase. everything seems to work just fine, but I forgot to check the heated rear screen.
Did a battery reset overnight for good measure and fired the beast up again at 0630 just to annoy the neighbours (lucky house is up for sale)
