Very soft sand, what were they thinking, not many vehicles will work in soft sand, and they video'd it, numpties.

****** recovery from a towing eye was always not going to end well.
It reminds me of when my dad bought his first Range Rover back in the early 80's, and he offered to pull out a car which spun off the road into a ditch in the snow. That ripped the front off too.
I'm trying to remember the car, it was Japanese hot hatch 4wd, a rally special, which the driver thought was more capable than reality!

Edit: Mazda 323 Turbo 4x4 when did you last hear of that one!!

That looks very much like New Zealand along with the average Auckland Maserati customer too.

A bit of mechanical sympathy wouldn't have gone amiss! What happened to take up the slack? Lol

Is it just me??!!..........The guy in the 4x4 should have slowly moved forward until taking the strain and then started slowly towing...........This was only going to end in one way pulling off at that speed...

Bellends. A ****** recovery is dangerous if you're trying to recovery a solidly-built 4x4 (a proper off-roader, not some plastic-coated bauble), but to try it with a road car is every bit as daft as taking a road car onto sand in the first place.

sn4tch is a rude word, apparently. Fnarr, fnarr, etc.

He knew it was being filmed and would most probably end up on YouTube, so he did what he thought was best for viewing. Nobody came out of that well.

Is that not the method for 4x4 removal? Aren't the tow ropes elasticated or something. Seem to remember that from somewhere.

Yes, a kinetic type tow rope can be used. Only ever seen it in off road applications. Bit like a bungee cord on steroids!

But obviously attached to a substantial structure and not a crappy towing eye.. idiots.
