How to connect scan Maserati 3200 OBD1 using Autel Maxidas

Hi there,
I have an 3200 GT (2000) with the old 3 pin under the dash. I am trying to scan the control unit using my Autel MaxiDAS DS808BT
I make the connection using the Fiat/Alfa/Lancie 3 pin to 16 pin OBD with power supply connected to the Autel Com VCI interface.
Have tried everything but can not get the Autel VCI com interface to connect to the ECU.
I use the Maxidas on other vehicles and have no problem what so ever.


This artikel on this forum is great but I would like to connect with my Autel scanner.

Has any body here got any experience on this matter that could help me out ? Your help will be much appreciated.

The only thing worth checking is that your reader can support KWP2000 protocol as this is what the 3200 responds to. if it does not support this protocol it wont work.

Hi Davy, thanks for the reply. Yes my reader supports KWP2000 (ISO14230-2) so I am afraid that is not the issue.
