Following your recent encouragement this story is just for you Dem!

I knew a man who was innocently driving his car along the motorway. As he passed under a bridge he noticed a police car made from cardboard overhead. (yes cardboard) Imagine his surprise when the car started moving and then pulled him over onto the hard shoulder. A cardboard uniform beat officer then got out of his car and told him that he had stopped him for doing 56 mph. The driver protested stating that the speed limit was 70 mph. The officer apologised and explained that he wasn't cut out to be a traffic patrol officer!

Regards,

Paul

It has got nothing to do with this thread but I wanted to write it somewhere. I am sure that I read that the definition of an animal (for the Highway Code and road traffic accident purposes) includes horse, cattle, ***, mule, sheep, pig, goat and dog. It's quite reassuring really because this means that if you happen to run into an elephant you don't have to stop!

Regards,

Paul
