I sold my Ghibli a month or so ago, ostensibly to fund replacement windows and so on around the house, but the rehab process is proving hard. I saw this the other day and it's in danger of tempting me to fall off the wagon again because it fits comfortably into the difference between my windows and the sale price.

At that mileage, it's got to be OK, surely!? It wouldn't have had a chance to get anywhere near that if it was terrible. Anyone know it/seen it? Worth a look? Run a mile? :D

Why are you waiting about......for the price of a BIG service on a GT you get that baby....if it passes muster ( ie folder of invoices, looks and drives well, maybe indie inspection), buy it.....lovely looking Maser!

one of the few classy looking masers from that era imo. price is good, same owner for nearly 20 years, high miles so she works and has been worked. think this will be jumped on by someone very quickly.

Hi

Mileage is high but it looks nice and well maintained and the V6 engines are strong.

It not far from where I live its location is also very near McGrath Maserati so if you want an inspection they are within 10 miles and might well have carried out the servicing. Worth calling the owner to find our who done the servicing and if it was McGraths as him if he would object to you contacting them for an opinion on the cars condition.

Been up for sale for ages, and they were not the best built masers of all time. It's seen plenty of action, so the chances of it looking as it does in the photos is slim. But there's no harm in going for a look. But let's face it, you don't get much Maser for 4k, so go in with your expectations low, and hopefully you'll have a pleasant surprise!

However, a really cherished example with only, say 40k miles would only be a few grand more....

In fact, my old QP IV Evo V8 is up for sale at about £8k (from memory), and that's are far superior car. And it's only done about (again, from memory) 50k miles.

I agree Ewan, it's surely a false economy to go so low and high mileage. It must need some work which would easily eat the difference.

Patience until the money is more affordable.

Although I have recently been offered an early biturbo for £2k.......

177k miles means it's not been left in a garage for long periods and it looks to be looked after. Proof is in the viewing, inspection of the paperwork, and if you like it buy it. As for price, it can always be a haggling point if there's alternative lower mileage cars around.

I thought my 3.2 Evo was leggy at 90k. I looked at a number of 2.8s surprisingly mostly auto's before buying mine and they were all around this price but needed various bits of TLC. Cheap compared to this one:-

Maserati QP IV

Mine is due to arrive back from the body shop any time soon after a tidying up of the underneath when I will need to decide what I am going to do with it. It was a condition of buying the Spyder that once the QP was sorted that I moved it on but that was then. I do love the quirkiness of them and in 3.2 manual form they are seriously quick cars.

I can't believe you didn't call me Richard! I'd have bought that in a flash. Finding a really good one is almost impossible, but if you come across another, give me a ring please.

I didn't see it on your website last time I looked - how long did you have it?
