I went to see the premier of this documentary film last night at The City Ground, home to my beloved Nottingham Forest. It was shown on a big screen on the pitch in front of around 4,000 fans at 7pm once it was dark.
It tells the story of when Brian Clough joined Forest in the mid '70's and how the club rose from being a mid table second division team into back to back European champions in just 4 seasons, surely a feat that could never get repeated.

You don't need to be a Forest fan to enjoy it, just a sports fan and if you enjoy a true underdog story, I urge you to see it. It will be on general release from tomorrow

Read about this in our local rag because he is a son of the mighty Boro
What a man, what a life, what a character, a true giant but disliked by many also (not me). Many tales to tell
Fully intend to see it

He was indeed - I have his signature at home from when he tried to sign my Dad for Hartlepool.

A prolific striker for Boro & Sunderland ( scoring 251 league goals from 274 starts) until injury ruined him.

Have been a Forest fan for many years - saw my first match in 1959!
Didn't expect to mention this on Sportsmaserati - can't be many of us who have the twin passions of Italian cars and Nottingham Forest.

Indeed not, although I have seen a couple of Maseratis parked in the CG car park from time to time! You will love this film then, I already can't wait to see it again - it was just when I started to support them in '77 when I was a 7 year old nipper!

Watched Cloughie many times at Ayresome Park for the mighty Boro in the 50's
What a goal machine. He asked his awful defence one game 'how many goals do I have to score to win today?'

there's a heap more too
