My brother pays £3000 a year warranty on his 2012 Ferrari, has to have it serviced every year, about £1000 providing nothing wrong and then the miles have to be kept down for re-sale value.
I'm referring to the last bit really about keeping the mileage down to minuscule levels. When did all this ******** start?
I know people avoid high mileage cars but to call a car traveled 25k miles in 10 years 'high mileage', it's just a load of farcical testicles.

Agreed Nibby, but once you buy one ..............which is what we all ultimately strive for to get a get example with low mileage .........your caught in the same trap as the guy before you , its perpetual motion , I have a similar dilemma with the Gransport , must be one of the lowest milers out there just on 16K now , Im happier driving the Bentley rather than whacking more miles on the masser , which in my head im sort of saving for special occasional trips abroad

It is a UK thing more than general as used Ferraris in Europe generally have much higher mileage. I know ferrari owners who have a few and they are no more than trophies all polished up in a showroom esq garage with artistic lighting. Hardly ever get started let alone driven outside where they might get dirty.
I've just put 11,000 miles on my Lusso in a year and the engine is now much sweeter than it was with 2,000 miles on the clock plus never had an issue of any kind.
it's like not making love to your girlfriend so the next bloke feels better. Crazy............just get on and drive it.

Swings and roundabouts in my view. If not for feverish obsession with low mileage cars I would not have got the granturismo 3 years ago at 5k less than cars with 20k less miles. Now just about to tick over to 70k and has gave me nothing but a big smile........as to the 5k saved, Fiona took ownership and put it towards a kitchen, what a waste! Lol

It's pure vanity, like boob jobs, puffed up lips and Botox. All fake.

They do not own a nice car, they are merely storers of a asset. Whether it increases or not is pure speculation like gold...

And what's more, the irony of the low mileage car that has been sat in traffic in a city smashing over speed bumps. I recently had a 1992 Bentley Turbo R which the previous owner (who owned it for 26 years) used it as his main transport covering about 8-10000 miles a year, every year. I bought the car with 200k on the clock and it was absolutely bang on! The number of people who couldn't believe it had covered so many miles...my response is I would be more concerned that a long distance car hasn't covered that mileage in 30 years of active use! It did come with over 100k in service and maintenance receipts...! I put 5k miles on and enjoyed every second.

Oops. Doubled the mileage on my California in the time I've had it. Looks like I'm not playing by the rules.

I don't understand it either. Unless it's one of the limited edition cars bought as an investment enjoy it.

Bridie's from Glasgow?! lol
I stay in Forfar, that's where you source Bridie's ;)
I know but we’ll be too far from Forfar but I hear tell there’s a good source in Moodiesburn, not far from our destination. Bridie, beans and chips was a ‘Kelvinbridge’ staple lunch many years ago.

That’s it Loz, a trap.
Fortunately for yourself you’ve got a nice alternative with the Bentley.
Baking hot Sunday in July, nothing to do, got a Ferrari in the garage but don’t want to use because the mileage will go up.
I was at a car meet at St Neots a few years ago and there was a bloke there in a newish Ferrari, he told me he has his car transported to a dealer in the midlands to be serviced to keep the miles down, doesn’t even drive there. Crazy
