Its 10% plus VAT and East coast shipping can be had for about a grand plus tax.

If the car is if a certain age or was origionally exported from the EU or England, tax can sometimes be avoided.

Thanks for the reply, confirms my limited web research, it will be interesting to see what it sells for. Who knows, maybe a trip to the US for me next week!

Not normally cost effective unless you can prove the car is of historic importance. VAT, duty and shipping. Remember also it will have the extra markers on the wings and some other USA traits. Think it will have an MPH speedo though.

Thanks for the reply. Any views on what a GS Victory is worth these days as I haven't seen one listed since I started my search, not too bothered about left hand drive?

I was looking to import a Delorean in the early part of this year and as it was built in the UK the tax and maybe even the VAT was not applicable as it was being returned to its country of origin.

Wow; 6,000 miles in it's 9 years, it has never been driven!

Looks like only one key which is not a show stopper but annoying none the less, it is hardly an inspiring colour IMHO but one of a very limited run so hopefully great value investment. I'd be inclined to add to that mileage rather a lot I fear :)

Looks interesting, I wonder what the asking price is and if it will reach the reserve?

Still enjoying my MCV. First time out in 2 weeks today. Price in UK for that car would be 40-45K if RHD. Prices are stable or rising slightly.

Hi Gents, not wishing to crash your thread but I came across this when looking for a QP, I own a freight company and we ship about 500 cars a year from the States, so if I can help then please let me know, our web site is in my profile or PM me.

No probs, we bring a good number of Porsche 911's in from the US but I don't recall any Maserati's

I did consider sourcing a QP from there, but whereas a yank car really must be LHD, I really want my QP to be RHD
