if suitable parts are not available in a short period, they write cars off as the courtes cars cost a fortune.

they write off and get the salvage.

Sounds odd. MOT history looks ok though. I'm sure a paid-for check would confirm or deny. Those mk 6 QPs had an uncomfortable number of recalls!

A quick Google search brings up recalls, many of which are/were in the USA. I bought mine from a UK main dealer so any recalls should have been caught by the time I bought it and Maserati have my contact details for any since then, but I'd still like to know what exactly applied to UK cars; can you post your definitive list of UK recalls with the appropriate years?

Hi Phil

I just typed the reg of that car into "Total Car Check", the free check lists all the recalls. If you do that for your own car, that should tell you. Equally if you call any Maserati dealer they can check. There was quite a lot, so I'm dodging writing them all out here,my apologies!

Hi JKB

Thank you for the info, it's appreciated.

I just registered for a free check with TCC but it's not giving any recall info, so I suspect they need payment for an enhanced service. Dealer is the way to go methinks.

Lot of car for a money... even at that price.

Best to be inspected if any prospective buyers are interested.
