Bloody cheap that, you could try Lancaster Insurance on a limited mileage policy if the car is over 10 years old, which I am sure it must be.

I need to move to the UK ....
I'm paying 750€ of road tax per year plus 500€ of basic insurance that won't cover my own damages.

I am with Locktons under the Maserati club scheme. £266 for 3000 miles, £500 excess, agreed value, salvage retention, track days. £25 to upgrade to 5000 miles at any time. They seem pretty good.

Wow I thought 450 was cheap! Seems I was tucked up. Maybe its an age/ncd thing as I've had company vehicle insurance for daily driver.

mine was £189 for 6k miles inc business use, full protected NCD, clean license, 51, garaged, wife on policy(makes it cheaper even when she was L) on Axa multi car. Weird thing was we paid exaclty the same premium for all 4 of our cars so the 3200 cost the same as her daily Pug 206 quicksilver 16v hdi.

Sounds about right to me.
Excuse the reference but it's your age that does it; have you any points on your licence or any prangs in the last 4/5 years?
My guess is with that price you have a clean licence.
My policy for my wife and I is around that and whilst I don't do business miles, I do have a 'point history'!!!!
Who is the insurer? MY best price has been AA* for the last two years.

*That's Automobile Association and not Alcoholics anonymous!

My renewal from Churchill came yesterday. I paid £450 last year fully comp including legal cover, protected NCD and breakdown cover with 10yr NCD no claims convictions etc. They want £590 this year!

Ran some quotes through Confused.com and the cheapest was around £500. Then went back to Churchill's website and guess what the price was.... £166 for the year?!?

Struggling to get my head around that one but by the time i added the legal cover, zero'd the voluntary excess (compulsory is £750) and put protected NCD on it came to £212, which is pretty good. Strangely though that premium required me to have the tracker subscribed and active. If i don't then it is £450, same as last year. Is the standard fit tracker to a GS the Navtrack 4000?

Jay,

It should be the Navtrack. Phone Navtrack. They have a record of every car to which it is fitted, so can reactivate it.

I doubt it will cost more that £238, so you will most likely be quids in, with a working tracker as well.

Thanks will give them a ring. I know a few people have had problems with battery drain from the tracker and have had it removed, nothing to say that is the case with my car so hopefully it will be ok.

Hummm. Think you lot will have a heart attack if I told you my insurance costs. Put it this way my wife with 2 years driving experience drives it as well!

I asked about navtrack. The cost to per year to run it was more than the small saving I would get for having it turned on.

The last time I heard, the cost was £150 for Navtrack
