Integral blinds in large patio doors

Getting an extension done in the summer, which will have 2 sets of sliding doors (3x 1.3m and 2 x 1.3m) in a corner arrangement. Since its south facing blinds will be important. One of the options is the integral, electric driven blinds (the ones in the glass cavity). They are eyewateringly expensive..
Does anyone have them, are they worth the money?? What other options are suitable for such doors?

Had them at my last house, but they were manual operated - still looked and worked well after 7 years when I moved.

I have had them and they are ok. The benefit is they are neat and out the way so less maintenance and potential for damage. They are quite effective at reducing heat.

We are going though planning at the moment for an extension and have decided to get external blinds this time as being south facing they are more effective at reducing heat. This is the sort of thing

Have a look at an electric canopy instead. It’s outside, and you can adjust the extension so you block out the direct sunlight but still let in indirect. And the room is cooler because the cover is outside the glass.

Search user invader 1000 on eBay. I have two sets of their doors, aluminium bifold with integral blinds (manual blinds)
They work perfectly well & the doors seem good quality, one set has been in for 5 years not moved, dropped etc…
They are very reasonably priced. They have more options than advertised on eBay could be worth a call.
Good luck with the build

Just had a shock ordering more materials here in France my glass blocks and mortar have gone right up in price due to the fuel costs I'm guessing :(

Surely it's due to profiteering capitalists gouging the honest working man, using rising fuel and and COVID as an excuse.

I'm confused.....
