Hi guys

When it comes to these things im useless and need advice.

My cousin in Cyprus wants my current iphone 4, im getting an upgrade on Fri so he wants mine sent to him to use over there.

I enquired about unlocking and its £40 and the screen is also cracked £40 which he is paying for but, how do i back up my pictures and apps so when i get my new one they can be transferred?i

I have tried itunes but im useless, i dont know if i have an accout with them either.

Cant be bothered, might tell him to forget it and sell it on ebay, but i still need the back up!!

Please any advice out there??

Use the cloud back up and also sync to a PC that way when you set up your new phone it will configure to the same as your present one. When the transfer is complete you can factory rest the old one and send it off for repair etc.

The apps will be available to download to your new iPhone/iPad/itouch for free, iTunes remembers what you have bought, including music, when you log in.
You do need to remember your iTunes user name and password. It's the same when you download any apps on your phone and it asks you for your password before downloading.
Easiest way to get the photo's and video off the phone is just to plug it into a PC. You don't need iTunes on the PC, just go to 'my computer' and you will see your iPhone listed as a folder.

Is it easy to set up an icloud account? I have old ios and it keeps saying i need to update

Yes. Just do all the upgrades, then when you get your new phone, tell it your iCloud / iTunes ID and as if my magic, it will all transfer over.

Don't need icloud as you pay for anything more than 5GB. Just plug it into your laptop/computer and then allow it to sync. Once done you can factory reset from the menu and send it off.

When new phone arrives can i then transfer it?

And it won't stop your old phone fro working.

Or bring it to me, and I'll do much JuJu to it, and you can have a drink.
