Is the F! Transmission Control Unit ( ECU for gearbox) the same on the 4200 F1 as the 360/ 575 F1 or Alfa?

Does anyone know the answer to that question? It may be a bit beyond simple part numbers as the programming may be distinct for each.

There are multiple versions with different SW.

You might get the same hardware but reflashing it to suit your car is very hard to do.

So the simple answer is no.

What are you trying to achieve? 231.XX NCRs can be reflashed and so can 301.XX found on the later cars such as F430, F599, GranTurisno or last of the Quattroportes. But what are you trying to accomplish? A 575 NCR won’t work in a 4200 for sure. 4200 NCR will work in a 360 and it’s actually an upgrade…

I have a possible issue with the TCU on the 575. I was reading previous posts about similar parts used in Alfa etc and wondered if the TCY was common to al these cars as the basics of the operation are the same.
