Quay for my Car is a themed event which runs throughout the summer in Poole Harbour. For the first time Italian cars will preside. For anyone interested Anne Simpson provides more details..........

Hi paul

This e-mail has gone out to all of you (I think/hope) who e-mailed me to express an interest in attending Quay for my car on Poole Quay next year.

Just to let you know that I have set aside Friday 30 August 2013 for the Italian Stallion night. I hope that suits, and look forward to seeing you all there. Please do not arrive before 6.00pm as the Quay is a no parking zone until then, so we have nowhere to put vehicles, and I know it causes frustration having to be moved on.

For those of you that may not know, the event runs from 6 .00 – 9.00pm and we park on a first come first serve basis - I think we can accommodate about 100 vehicles.

Regards

Italian Stallions at Poole's Quay For My Car 30th August.

The very first 'Italian Stallions' event held on Poole Quay, Dorset was a magnificent success. Within half an hour of the quay opening to exhibitors, the area was full with Italian cars of all marques and models. Visitors and locals thronged the area to see and experience the sights and sounds of this Italian themed evening. A rare Maserati Khamsin was amongst the most notables, alongside a Ferrari F40, Fiat 2300 S Coupes, a Lancia Beta Coupe rally car resplendent in Alitalia colours, and a 1937 Lancia Aprilia.

I'm afraid I don't know how to insert pictures. Can forward to someone who does!

This event came about following a suggestion by an IAMC member and we would like to thank all the clubs, publications and individuals that we approached for their support and lobbying to persuade Poole Tourism to include the event in their summer calendar. We will campaign to ensure that it becomes a regular annual event. You can play your part in this: Please Email Anne Simpson at Poole Tourism (a.simpson@pooletourism.com) congratulating them on the success of Italian Stallions and asking for it to become an annual fixture.
