Yes, tough one to gauge. It is why some dealers never prep their cars until a sale is done I guess but if you don't do some prep it can impact the sale for some. I can see it from both sides. I guess you never know what you did is right or wrong until you find out. I could have done two tyres and two alloy refurbs but made sense to get all 4 done and nice decent matched tyres.When I sold my Jag X-type on eBay a few years ago, I first had some scuffed paint on the bumpers touched up to make it look better. The first buyer (who turned out to be a dealer) rejected the car, saying, "It's been resprayed, so it might have been in an accident or there might be something dodgy underneath". Not doing that again.
