With the summer fast approaching (hopefully) i decided i wanted to get my GS detailed professionally. Whilst i have got fairly good at detailing myself i wanted to see the difference to the people that do it for a living. I'm based in London and think Topaz is a bit of a rip off so i went with a company called FKStandard on a recommendation. All i can say is the car probably looks better than the day it came out the factory. The finish is insane. The head turning looks i got when i picked it up and drove away with it will certainly be taking my business back there. They gave me some footage of the latter stages:

i have attached some pics as well so you get a sense of the glass finish :)

2 weeks later and it has rained countless times. Still cant believe how clean it has stayed:

I would 100% recommend these guys. They did a thorough job inside and out for a very reasonable cost. The hand applied wax I'm told will last months as well so cleaning will be very easy over the summer :). http://www.fkstandard.com/

Very Nice result.

Would be interesting to know the products used and the process undertaken (number of passes machine polishing, claying etc)

That looks very nice. Was the GS in pretty good shape to start with or a reasonable level & they have worked hard to raise up quite a way?
What was the cost and the time spent?

Thanks
Dean

Looks great. Had mine done last October by Paul Dalton at the Top Gear track. Still looks great. Nothing can be done to hide the stone chips and a scuff but it got rid of all small scratches and swirls. The compound they out on lasted through the winter. Only problem is that once you have it looking so good you end up with a bit of OCD and pick up on every new imperfection
