And Chris Harris buys a 599......I know as I say him in it the other day.......He sold his GT3 RS 4.0L and bought the 599.

I think Harris is the surprising one....he loved that RS...or did he? strange purchase to trade to a 599.

Clarkson, 458.... i would if I was him.....probably the best 2 seater sports car around today......why not?

Due to his marital woes he probably only needs two seats now. By the time his wife finishes with him he'll only be able to afford an MGF.

Clarkson reviewed the 458 Spyder in the Sunday Times last weekend. Absolutely loved it and said if he ever bought another supercar it would be this one. But he wouldn't. The man needs to get on here and explain himself, his journalistic integrity is at stake!

Love the 458! All ferrari praise in next series.....

He said he preferred gallardo spyder than the 430 spyder as a ferrari is a knobs car!!

Didn't he make a big point when he bought and then sold the Ford GT that he'd paid list price and wouldn't take a discount on principle? That's not to say it's what actually happened but it would be silly to have said (on Top Gear as I recall) that he'd not taken advantage of his position and the free publicity he would clearly bring to any car brand he buys if it wasn't true.
Perhaps I'm just jealous - to be able to afford supercars at that price level, and to be able to pay full price for them too!

It would shatter his credibility* if he was taking favours from car dealers / manufacturers. I'd guess he pays full price for his cars. Also not convinced he has bought a 458; apparently that story was courtesy of the Daily Mail (not one of the UK's most reliable newspapers!).

The Daily Flail might have its drawbacks but Clarkson writing for it isn't one of them.
