As I see you are Dorset based. You'll need to make friends with Myles at Emblem Sportscars in Poole, as he's your nearest specialist.

Yes I'm going to take the car in for a Saturday morning health check in a few weeks time. Meet them look at the facilities etc.

You will not go wrong with Emblem or Myles in fact. I don't think I will let anyone else look after my car now.

Hey FA57GTA, look familiar?

Twins separated by the oceans at birth! Our cars must have rolled of the production line at similar times. I believe mine was October 2012 production date. Mine is 100% standard bar the Xpipe. Enjoy!

Yeah they are exactly the same, twins like you say!
Well mine was registered 29/05/2012, so would have been produced before then.

Agreed Andy, the stock setup at the back is way too high, this looks perfect.

I wanted a Strad as soon as the first example came out, almost bought an early two seat, but was tipped thew wink that the 4 seat was coming and decided to hold on. I got mine a couple of years ago and absolutely love it. However, I was recently very tempted to go for a McLaren 570GT, had a couple of test drives and even specced one up. SWMBO convinced me to also look at various 458's which I did. With regard to the Fezza, I simply couldn't bring myself to pay so much for a second hand car, I honestly believe prices are being held artificially high. So on coming back to the Macca, after the test drive I found myself curiously underwhelmed by the experience. Don't get me worng, it's a stunning car, but it's so damned good that as a driver I felt I was only a small part of the package, a bit like playing on a Playstation, had the same with the Fezza. These DCt's are so slick, the driver plays no part in the change.

As buying either the Fezza or the Macca would have meant selling the Strad, I found in the end that I couldn't do it. The Strad may not be as sophisticated as the others, but by heck it's involving. Get the reves up and lot's of throttle and the gearchange is savage.

And now I hear that the new Granturismo will be the same as the old Granturismo, but possibly with the Fezza DCT gearbox and the Ghibli infotainment system. Maybe not a bad thing, because it's still a stunning looking car.

I hereby plead with the Gods of Maser that it comes in a version with just two carbon buckets! (and an optional roll cage!)

That would be an interesting car, would they have to use a new generation engine as well?

I've been led to believe there is something coming soon along the lines of what has been said; ie same/similar shape but new engines/gearboxes/media etc. No idea if it's true mind!

Ditto myself, but the engine may be the same as current version as Ferrari are reluctant to let them use the twin turbo engine from the Cali, and the only other option was the V6 from the new Alfa Giulia. Who knows, it could be like the Alfieri and never see the light of day....
