Hi I am Lextasy,
Just recent joined this forum as being a Maserati enthousiast for many years now.
It goes back to the days of the early biturbos which I so admired..back in 2006 the time was right and bought my first Maserati which wasn't exactly the real deal..and had to let it go after only a few months.
In the summer 2007 I purchased a 1991 first series 4.24V and that car is still with me all those years. What a fantastic car this has proven to be. Day and night I drove and still drive it.
mechanically probalbly one of the best, optical...not so good anymore...but that had a reason.
In 2011 I fell in love with a tundra verde Ghibli 2.0 from 1994 and added that car thinking that the time was right to start restoration of the 4.24 after years of collecting parts all around. Little did I know how bad the Ghibli was especially after rain it was as wet inside and outside. But I can show you pictures how beautiful the bodywork was I was just blind.
After subsequent engine failure I had no other choice than to turn things around and start with the Ghibli and be on my way with the 4.24. About 2-3 years later the Ghibli has undergone a massive restoration and has come out as to be expected.
I am keeping her...
In the meantime found a Volvo Bertone 780 as barnfind and enjoyed getting that car on the road again after standing still in 13 years. I just recently sold the car. I loved the looks; the ride was so so.
And then end of last year I bumped into a 3200 in Dubai..I couldn't let this one go..I was crazy about the car. So after visiting her two times ( at which she didn't start) the third time the owner made it up to me and we made a fantastic ride..SOLD but now how to get it to Europe..driving was not and option , so after sorting things out we loaded here on a vessel and in March she landed in the Rotterdam harbour. Much more to tell as the project is underway just as we speak: has to get registered over here and that is some kind of a head ache..
keep you posted!
