Proper bunch?
In my experience they will have asked the vendor to take the photographs and it will certainly have been down to the vendor to prepare the car before the photographs.
We delivered my friends Karif and my Corvette to Blenheim Palace cleaned and machine polished, when we went back for the viewing the next day, over night they had been allowed to get covered in filth, luckily we had taken some speed detail etc with us......
When they had my Elan at Ascot and it didn't sell they offered to take it to their showroom in Richmond as they thought they had some one they could do a deal with, they then offered to put it in their sale at the Autosport show all at no cost to me.
After the Autosport auction there was no communication from them over whether the car was sold or not (I chose not to go to the sale as I think the NEC is a rip-off) and then only given a few hours notice it hadn't sold and needed to be picked up. If I hadn't been able to arrange a covered trailer etc in the time frame available they were going to just leave it unattended in a car park at the NEC - now remember this is a '65 race car with no side windows or roof etc.,.. of reasonable value. When my friend arrived at the NEC they had given us the wrong Gate number and then wouldn't hand the car over before I had made a substantial payment to them for costs incurred despite the agreement being there would be NO cost to me.
Then to cap it all off the car was delivered to them on the button, it came back as a non starter.
Proper bunch, proper bunch of charlies more like!
