£200k not a chance on this one. It looks like a right dog!

I'm off to see it this afternoon, if i get away at a decent time. £200k is for fully restored car. People always under price restoration costs so this is not likely to be a bargain.

Proper bunch? :rofl5:

In my experience they will have asked the vendor to take the photographs and it will certainly have been down to the vendor to prepare the car before the photographs.

We delivered my friends Karif and my Corvette to Blenheim Palace cleaned and machine polished, when we went back for the viewing the next day, over night they had been allowed to get covered in filth, luckily we had taken some speed detail etc with us......

When they had my Elan at Ascot and it didn't sell they offered to take it to their showroom in Richmond as they thought they had some one they could do a deal with, they then offered to put it in their sale at the Autosport show all at no cost to me.

After the Autosport auction there was no communication from them over whether the car was sold or not (I chose not to go to the sale as I think the NEC is a rip-off) and then only given a few hours notice it hadn't sold and needed to be picked up. If I hadn't been able to arrange a covered trailer etc in the time frame available they were going to just leave it unattended in a car park at the NEC - now remember this is a '65 race car with no side windows or roof etc.,.. of reasonable value. When my friend arrived at the NEC they had given us the wrong Gate number and then wouldn't hand the car over before I had made a substantial payment to them for costs incurred despite the agreement being there would be NO cost to me.

Then to cap it all off the car was delivered to them on the button, it came back as a non starter.

Proper bunch, proper bunch of charlies more like!

is this Coys? I thought they were a proper outfit?

Me neither until I had a ride in a banana yellow one a friend of mine had - it might not be the best looking but it was all Maserati in the sound and go departments :)

If someone want to prove me wrong, I'm happy to accept a lift or even a drive in one.

If Miles decides to buy this one and needs to part with his Ghibli, I'll happily give him a tenner for it. :rofl5:

Just been to see it on way home. It's a bit rough to be honest. Some rust coming through, paint scratched and dented. Front bumper bent. 71K so engine will need a rebuild. Interior is original but poor. Probably 80-100K of work needed to restore fully. It will be interesting to see if it hits reserve.
The mistral was a total wreck. Held together with gaffer tape. Only worth something as a labour of love.

I wouldn't have wasted my time TBH, it's apparent from the pics that it is rough around the edges. I'd be surprised if it makes £50k

Definitely Coys and I thought the same before I dealt with them.....

Also had a very bad experience with them selling my Porsche. I did all the photos and prep, which was fine. What wasn't fine was that I wasn't paid until 60 days after the auction after I threatened them with legal action (terms were 45 days). Steer well clear.
