So today Alex got a bite on the KTM, I realised with my job in Kazakhstan on Thursday I had to get it MOT'd today for him otherwise it couldn't be picked up at the weekend. so at 15.45 I got on the bike and took it to the KTM dealership and they managed to squeeze it in, MOT passed no fuss. Happy Alex then sold it within an hour of me getting home for the money he wanted, it is being collected on Saturday. Excited by this he continues his search for a replacement for the BMW. I pop out to the shops for some bits and come home to him saying "Dad have a look at the big computer".

He has found a 'cool' Brat style neglected machine, a 1985 Suzuki GS650GT. I'm looking at the photos of it with him and suddenly thought I know that number plate! This is the actual machine Jeanette bought new in 1985 1st August!!!!! The very machine we went on our honeymoon on to the South of France!

We dug out a photo of it on that day and Alex sent it to the guy and now he has bought it off him!

It is an absolute mess of wiring but many cool upgrades to it just a lot of water ingress from two years under a sheet, guess I'll be putting in many more evenings in the garage this summer!

Sometimes it is a small world! Fate/Kismet....

What a great story - now don't ever let him sell it, that needs to stay in the family for sure!

Nice story and as you say it's a small world.

I live in Hertfordshire and was in a minor accident in Yorkshire with an Opel Manta Berlinetta - turned out it was my parents old car !
