Hi all,

Having a bit of a clear out and I have just advertised the Larini I bought from Conaero a couple of years ago on eBay. If memory serves me correct I paid £1250 and as the exhaust is still in great condition have started the auction at £1000. It would be nice for this to pass to another forum member, if anyone has any questions please give me a call on 07718586750 or email alexholmesuk@gmail.com

I like the look of these and want to improved the sound - heard these are great but are abit loud and after awhile and some put the originals back on - Im not sure if this was a complete system or just back boxes

what are these like to live with ? when not in sport mode are these just as quiet as the standard

didn't Matt have these on his GS ? I suspect a complete system will make a big different but with just the back boxes what are these like to live with ? when not in sport mode are these just as quiet as the standard

I've read a few reports about exhaust that drone - do these ?

I am looking for the best of both, sport mode greater sound, not in sport mode similar to what I currently have as I do come home early hours from work some nights (sadly not from the night clubs)

if I was to sell the car would it be better with these or standard ?

sorry for all the questions but before I spend my clutch money I wanted to check

Enzo - In short there is no drone. especially when you are not running any other aftermarket exhaust components.
Its a great setup, you can be as quite as you like, or open the valves and go up the rev range range to release the full orchestra and the F1 style howl.

no doubt you will enjoy it

Having non valved Larini's (and no other exhaust modifications) I am sceptical how the valved ones don't drone, but the non valved ones do?!.....or do the valved ones only drone when open?

It does sound great, but it does drone at low revs...more very deep sound that 'escapes' if you have a window open slightly.

Sorry, that's simply not true in my experience. My GS has valved Larini rear boxes only and it drones between 2k and 2,750 revs whether in Sport mode or not. The drone is louder and deeper in Sport, but still very apparent when not. To describe a Larini exhaust as 'quiet' is a massive misrepresentation. Mine were on the car when I bought it. I love the noise, so drive through it or tolerate it. I certainly wouldn't pay Larini prices for them as I cannot see why they cost so much. There's supposed to be loads of R&D that went into them, but if this is the case, why were they designed with a terrible drone? I know of owners who have removed them because of the drone and put standard rear boxes back on!

Enzo, as before......when first fitted I was very aware of a significant drone between 2.5-3k revs......but as it was taken off recently to change the clutch and then refitted, the drone nowhere near as noticeable...I had just put up a few pics on another thread....will link to here............£550 for them from Autoshield plus fitting
