When I told my daughter I was thinking about getting into MGB GT activities, she thought it was some new form of rights group. I have been cutting back on my motorbike collection, and swapped two of them for this 1974 model. Not Maserati, but some here may appreciate it.

Very much wanted one back in the late 90s. Fancied a V8 as well, but came over all Italianesque ;)

Looks in lovely condition. Presume it has had some restoration work done? Parts supplies are excellent (unlike Maserati!!) and a neighbour just got a "L" reg one in BRG about 2 weeks ago. Not as tidy as this one though. They look much nicer with the chrome bumpers. I keep saying I will sell some of my bikes but it isn't happening If you are selling anything Italian let me know.
PS The only thing I would do with your car is get rid of the modern plates. IMO it would look more period with black and silver and Mr Plod will never bother you and I have never had a problem at MOT time either

No need for modern plates on M reg these days, rules changed a few years ago, the thing that gets me about the MGB is how small it is on the road perfect for what I need here. Simple with great spares supply what else could you want

Another vote for black plates. Gorgeous cars, these. My neighbour has a primrose yellow one. Just stunning. As a lad, my uncle, who was cool, had a BGT. They’ve always made me smile.

I am a sucker for a classic, not fancied and MG personally but can see the appeal and it’s a classic so it gets my vote.
She looks lovely.
My current classic is a 65 Mustang which gets more attention that the Maserati and I like the Maserati is not losing value every day I own it.

Regarding the two things that have been mentioned, the plates and gear knob. I have already ordered a new wooden knob and black embossed plates are next on the list. There are a free wee blemishes on the body that will require attention, but will have to wait as I have too many things to complete this year. Today it was out with the grease gun to lubricate the king pins, it’s been years since I’ve done that.
