As it is my turn to provide this years Le mans transport I best get the Spyder sorted. Most jobs are planned in so just a case of getting on with them:-

Today - Trip to Woburn to finalise wheel refurbishment
03/05 - Drop her off at Emblem for a check up, sort out the secondary air leak and have a look at the clutch
10/05 - Hopefully collection from Emblem

Then

Wheel refurb before the end of May
First week of June full detailing session to get her looking the best she can.

Other stuff to check:-

Get tent out and check no holes from either last years fireworks or rodent attack over the winter
Get all the other camping gear out and test pack the boot - fairly good chance some bits won't be making it this year due to the lack of rear seats (always thought 2 pairs of pants for 6 days was a bit overkill :) )

Whats wrong with the clutch?

Must admit, I need to get cracking, Le Mans is less than 2 months away now and my jobs list are.

Front bumper repaint
Strip the black paint off the front grill and polish to mirror finish
Full detail inside and out
Remove secondary decat pipes and have new ones made
Fit new fan resistor and water temperature sensor (I need to clear out the garage so I can get the GS on the lift...a job for Easter me feels)

Chaps don't forget to take plenty of glue for the Beer Mountain....! :approve:

Using glue on Beer Mountains is cheating, it is something that the SELOC boys started doing a few years back and it stops that lovely crash sound you used to get when a mountain collapsed.

Probably nothing. Occasionally it selects neutral on upshifts but otherwise it is fine. I am however aware that it has not been changed recently and if in doubt I would rather have it out and replaced before Le Mans. Makes sense for them to have a look whilst it's with them.

Less than 8 weeks now and judging by the email traffic our group are generating there seems to be some excited people out there :)

Well replacing the clutch is going to need doing at some point and can fully understand your logic.

Mine went in Eccomoy on the way home and had to be trailered back to Blighty...got smashed on the way home so every cloud and all that :)

A good reminder for me to get cracking with my pre-LM prep:
Exhaust mods - new manifolds, sports cats and h-pipe
Rolling road before & after exhaust mods
Driver's door external handle micro switch replacement
2 x wheels refurbed
New discs & pads all round (assuming I can find some discs!)

Service booked 02/05
Wheels booked 21/05

Just need to get the detailing booked for the first week in June

Now just check all the camping gear and do a test fit in the boot - today looks a nice day to do it.
