It's back up already. With regards the paint it looks to me like it had red first underneath white prime/filler, underneath the top coat. The "engine bay" paint is just the slam panel isn't it? You would blow that in during a colour change unless you were being spectacularly lazy!
I'm just suspicious of the way the paint has come off in lumps with flaky edges - factory applied paint doesn't tend to do that in my experience, but thickly applied resprays and spray filler do.
I'd love to take a look at it, but time is not on my side.
ETA: I note has tax and test, but if it is a Cat C it needs a VIC check doesn't it? Surely the test is no longer vaild?
