Lights dip, power loss, and flashing airbag light

My 4200 drives extremely well but I’ve started to have a very odd issue. I’ve noticed that my airbag light on the dash flickers dimly and the the engine power is interrupted. When the light are on they also dim at the same time. Car otherwise runs fine but when it happens at low revs and pulling away it will knock it out of gear and I have to re-start. Any one else had this and is there a fix. Definitely electrical I think?

Check the battery terminals would be where I'd start

Then alternator i'd say.... it might not be providing enough juice at low RPM.

Unless your idle is abnormally low of course...... this could cause the symptoms you describe too.

It’s definitely worth testing the battery voltages with a multimeter with everything off, with the ignition on but engine off, whilst the engine is starting, at idle, at idle with lights on, with high revs and then with high revs and lights on.

First stop buy a new battery. Then move on to the alternator.
