We are doing the NC 500 route in 4 days with an alternative start from Fort William - I will do a separate thread when the journeys begins on the 19/20th September.
A daily update thread would be really good, with pics ;), since I know a few others on here are toying with the NC 500 for next year.

I will do Greg,
I am going to pre - type the route sections up and save in word so I can cut and paste daily and then add in as required with photo's etc. Accommodation is sorted now, so just need to sort a daily excursion to keep SWMBO happy. Its a bit daft, I have flown and holidayed all over the world but can't remember being excited about a holiday!!! Daft kid I guess but 4 weeks today I should be pulling into Fort William (Kinlocheil) for our first overnight Scottish stop. Visiting family in Carlisle on the Saturday..

Congrats to Fiona and yourself on the new purchase. They look great together, and such a nice area. Enjoy the rest of the Scottish summer whilst you can.

That looks fantastic, Greg. I love the way you've captured the dark, forboding moodiness of the clouds without losing the definition and contrast of the cars. Stunning.

Great roads up here. I am currently in Torridon and the road from Inverness to here was amazing.

Unfortunately I'm not in the GS but my van as I'm here for a week Mountain biking and road biking,
But I can't wait to bring the GS back up here soon :)

Great road, last time I did it was in a Cerbera. Need to get back up that way sometime.
