Locked Out

Hoping someone can help. After washing the car I got an EPB warning as well as ABS and Antiskid. Read a few thoughts on this so disconnected battery for ten minutes. This seemed to reset the EPB and release it, but now I can't get into the car. Locks/Unlocks OK on the fob, likewise with the key, red light on door goes out, green flashes briefly but still can't get into the car. Can hear the solenoids clunking so something is happening, but can't get in through either door. Currently have the car hooked up on the CTek and battery showing good voltage. Any thoughts/advice?

Assume you mean the buttons on the inside of the exterior door handle? Tried that, no joy.
If the car is unlocked on the fob, that will work. Otherwise lock and unlock it a few times and the micro switches will reset.

Sadly despite several lock/unlock blips with both the fob and the key, I still can't get into the car. When I unlock, the interior light goes on and the window comes down an inch or so, but no matter what I try with the buttons behiond the door handle, the door won't open. Utterly baffled now

When you press the mechanical switch all the way down (not the micro switch) behind the handle does it click?

Don't think so. Going to disconnect battery overnight and see what transpires
I assume you've already done it several times but make sure you've pressed the mechanical switch all the way down. I once had a panic on, but realised I hadn't pressed it hard enough

Do you have the same issue on the passenger door as well?

Quick update on being "locked out". Despite leaving battery disconnected overnight, the problem is still with me this morning. Fob clearly locking/unlocking as is the key but still unable to physically get in through either door. When unlocking, window comes down about an inch so something is clearly getting the message, but pressing either button behind the door handle has no effect and window goes up again without command.

Have to take the Fezza in for service later today so I'll speak to the techs at Graypaul, but I doubt they will be any help. Think these factory trained technicians are great at the routine stuff but not so good on the sort of obscure problems the car can throw up.

Update: Managed to get into the car finally. Apparently lock/unlock sequence three times is the trick. Sadly I still have my EPB stuck on with no ABS or traction control. Feckin Italian cars!

Sounds like a wheel sensor, parking brake can be released using the tool in the kit. Glad you got it unlocked, knew it would work.

Release the EPB with the tool???? I know it can be done but I can't even get the cap opff the actuator there's so little room. Don't think they could have made it any more difficult if they had tried. What a stupid idea to have the release mechanism so inaccesible!

When the sensor failed in my GT the handbrake was initially stuck on, but I found that things behaved a little differently every time I tried the battery disconnect. So I did the disconnect half a dozen or so times over a couple of days and trying the brake on off with and without engine running multiple times, then all of a sudden it released. Went for a a little drive, ABS and traction control lights stayed on but after that handbrake worked normally.

Strange but true, but as you say…… they are Italian ……..

Try holding the handbrake switch on for 30 seconds. This causes the motor to release it regardless of the position it thinks it is in. When Krishna’s battery was flat as a pancake it got it rolling.

Is this with or without engine running?
