Hello guys
No CEL don't worry ! But from 4000 rpm I feel a lack of boost and sometimes the error oil is flashing then stop.
Or maybe because it is 32 cielsus the engine is missing fresh air to give his max ?
1st time I drive during summer.

The oil sender has been changed 2 years ago.

Oh by the way, the forum discs with DS perf pads and goodridge lines has really improved the braking !!

Does the oil pressure needle drop?
Power limited at 4000 could be knock sensors or something wrong on the boost circuit.
You should be able to fetch some codes even if CEL is not lit

Could be anything, did you check the voltage at the pedal pot to see that it is giving you maximum voltage (3.4V)?

Start with the DBW system then check the basics like MAP sensor, boost leaks, Knock sensors and also bad fuel.

My reader does not give me any fault code.
I just notice when I brake hard the oil is dropping then back immediately.
I'm not too sure about the lack of power, I'm still having ASR on 2nd and rd...

Are you sure your wheels aren't slipping cutting out the engine?
Mine at 4000 in 2nd under full acceleration will trigger the ASR and cut the power briefly, then it kicks in again and goes near readline very fast.

I reckon boost leak, check all turbo vacuum hoses and also the inlet pipes for pin ***** holes.

The drop in oil pressure could be sender unit, pressure switch or even the display/gauge. It could be the revs dropping so if you are going to stall then it would drop the pressure.

Is the car manual or auto. If manual when you depress the clutch does the oil level drop at the same time?

I Will have a look at the turbo pipes tomorrow but strangely I had full power last run.
I just had the coolant hoses done with Roose.
The car is manual and the oil pressure drops when the revs drops. 2.5 at hot idle, 5 on the run. Between 2.5 and 5 when changing gears.

Mine is manual and at idle sits between 4 and 4.5 bar and goes to 5 upon driving.

2 .5 is simply not right.

Does the pressure drop when you press the clutch pedal fully down in neutral?

Check the pipes that go to the throttle body, my jubilee clips were loose and the pipe blew off the Throttle Body, same symptoms as your car.

Phil you beat me to it - sounds like loose coupling to throttle body from Y piece - particularly as you would have removed it to do the collant pipes. Fluctuating oil pressure sounds like failing sender assuming oil levels as they should be.

The oil pressure should always remain constant at around 5 bar in all situations hot or cold.. if there's any flucuations between gear changes youv'e definatly have a problem..

Could be that the engine is semi siezing due to exessive wear on the centre thrust bearings when you think It's down on power..

This is the worst senareo...you really need to get it checked out, I'de recommend changing the oil pressure sender first, Its the cheapest option

No It does not. Oil pressure remains at same level in Neutral whether I press or not the clutch.

Cold idle is 5. Hot idle 2.5.

I will have a look at the Y pipe

I think the oil pressure on a lot of cars does drop a little when the car is warm, my car here in UK never drops below 5 bar but when i drove it to Italy and we had higher temperature weather, and the oil pressure did drop off when the car was seriously hot not sure it got as low as 2.5 bar, i think about 4. oi pressure dropping off, could be engine wear including high mileage, and end float on the crank. The oil pressure sender could be causing the problem but it sounds unlilkely. what oil are you using? when was the oil filter last changed?

Engine is 110 000 km. Oil filter done and oil change a month ago with Castrol 10W60. Only 10w60 has been used in that engine.

It has been changed 2 years ago. Will order a new sensor then... Where from ?

I don't want to be rude mate, but if that's correct, your engine is on the way out!

One more. if you can get a race shop or an engine builder to fit a wet gauge to the 3200 oil system outlet and check the actual pressure...

If ok your done as far as your engine is concerned!

Don't be too hasty; a sensor can fail at any time, new or otherwise. Especially if it's made in Italy. Check the basics first and go from there...

But as its down on power and down on oil pressure it makes you think!
