Lost drivers seat and mirror control

Hello,

Looking for some direction on solving a problem that just popped up. I bought this car earlier in the week and everything worked as it should. Yesterday I lost all the memory related functions of the drivers seat and total loss of control over the power mirrors. The lumbar on the drivers seat works (not part of the memory controlled portion) and the passenger seat power functions work 100%.

I've checked every single fuse in the passenger footwell with a multi-meter. I've checked the connectors at the seat and the power mirror control panel. I disconnected the battery and let it sit a minute to reset everything.

I'm really at a loss. Since it's only those certain functions I think the problem must be related to whatever controls the memory seat/mirror adjustments (it's also not doing the mirror drop when placed in reverse). Do any of you have any insight into what/where the unit is that controls that? is it in the seat or somewhere else? Of course the drivers seat is all the way down and back so access under is VERY limited. I cannot get to the rear bolts to remove it.

I really appreciate any help/direction!

Turn the battery off for 10 minutes first. There's a switch in the boot to help.

If that doesn't do it, I'd be slightly surprised. I've had the same issue a couple of times.

On my 4200 this happened a number of times and the local Maserati dealer showed me what to do. Reach under the seat and locate the block connector that connects the seat to the wiring harness. Unclip it being mindful there is a small tab you need to release first. Easy when you've done it once. Reconnect and all should be well.
Cheers.

Flexwing and Catman, you guys are awesome! Thank you very much for the help!!!! I pulled the battery for 30 min but unfortunately that wasn't the issue. I pulled the connector under the seat and plugged it back in and now everything is back up and running. The first time I only felt one connector and must have reconnected the seat heat/lumbar one not the power seat connector.

I really REALLY appreciate the help!!!

Excellent. I don't know about the Spyder so much, but the 4200 gets water on the switches are there are no roof gutters. (Clearly there are no roof gutters on the Spyder either, but I don't know where the water will go) ;)

This may be a sign that your switch set is getting wet and corroded. Not too bad to replace.

No signs of water damage at all, in fact I don't believe this car has been wet in years nor will it get wet with me. I have cars that haven't been washed in years because I never get them dirty. The biggest bath they get is a spray wax :) My daily driver on the other hand makes up for the clean cars and then some....that poor car is filthy.
