Mail Order Tyres?

Evening all,

Well its blowing a gale in from the wild Atlantic here and its time to settle down for the winter.

Which brings me around to the question of new tyres.

There is a distinct lack of outlets here for tyres for the back of my 2005 QP, so my question is are there
any tyre outlets in the UK who offer an on-line sales and delivery service, to the ROI, at a good price?

I only noticed today due to leaving 2 very impressive black lines on the road from the lights. Amazing burn-out, unexpected and fun!

Indeed, my drag racing days have given me an uncanny knack of doing wild burnouts and seemingly uncontrolled power slides.

In fact, it was the first time the QP has done a burn out like that, I kept it going for a while, letting it wriggle its **** about a bit!

Ok, Doris has been far too well behaved it seems...probably me being too nice to her clutch out of fear of a(nother) big bill. She does tend to leave most other cars behind without all the smoke & drama, but...

The only tyres than come close to fitting the bill are the ones listed below.

The tyres I usually get come with a ZR rating, these are W rated, up to 270kph. As I regularly come close to that figure, I wonder if it it could be a problem.

Three problems:-

The tyre on your link is only 225, surely your QP takes the normal 245? (245/40/ZR19).

Also, they have a mud and snow rating (M+S), hence the lower speed, are you specifically looking for a winter tyre?

Also they only have an 88 load index, you need 98 for the four-doored beast.
